About

Photo of Sally standing outside of her office smiling.

My name is Sally, I am medically (legally in the US) blind and have a hearing loss. As a busy professional (who is time-poor) I value my independence. In many countries (like New Zealand where I live) accessibility guidelines and regulations are emerging. In my experience, these are very variable in implementation.

I see and hear many complaints about poor access. Most of this seems to stem from a lack of knowledge about access needs rather than deliberate exclusion.

Therefore, I have created this page where we can celebrate stories of good access and give a shout out to those that provide them.

For now please email me positive stories of access at sally@shoutoutforaccess.com and you can subscribe via email or follow me on social media.
